Grandpa Jansz's sister Henriette Louise Jansz (WikiTree), married Willem Marius van der Veer. (Married by proxy) Willem was already in Sumatra and Henriette was still in Holland. Henriette was the first white woman to live in Aceh. Mariette's father (name) was born in Langsa, Aceh, Sumatra in 10/8/1912. Her mother (name) was born in Medan, Sumatra 11/23/1921. Both families had moved to Sumatra from the Netherlands. Mariette was born 10-31-1950 in Sungei Rampah Rubber Estate and her sister Birthe was born 2-16-53 in Tebing Tinggi. When Mariette was born, her parents were living on Gunung Malayu Rubber Estate. When Birthe was born they were living on Sungei Rampah Rubber Estate. In 1956-57 they lived on Pulau Rampong Rubber Estate and on Bungara Rubber Estate, both in the Bohorok area. Which is now famous becuase of the Orang Ytan rehabilitation centre. Birthe and Mariette both learned to swim in the Bohorok River wghere they went on the weekends. Very remote areas accessible only by 4x4's. The rubber estates were huge. Sungei was about 115 square miles and Bungara, 173.
